Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Saratoga will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in California usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (408) 703-3245. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, khaothaisj.com.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 88 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Luckily they weren't too busy. Food/value could be better. Pad see ew is my go to, and it was below average. Highlights were the tom kha chicken soup! Parking can be difficult during peak hours...may need to park farther back in the lot and walk over . Auto 20% for our group size.

I've been to Thailand a few times and always enjoy Thai food. I came to this restaurant during lunch and had very tasty, authentic Thai food here. The pork neck was tender and flavorful. The fried rice had the right "day old" texture and not soft. I just wish the Thai fried chicken was marinated with salt because it's a bit bland without putting sauce. Affordable price wise and the portion is pretty big compared to other Thai restaurants I've been in the area. Will definitely be back!

Packaged Thai food from TJβs is better!! π€―. Had high hopes, but the Khao soi, and crispy pork belly were major letdowns. Only the Pla Duk Pad Ped (catfish) was good. But order medium or mild for the fish. That was the only plate with flavors. The Khao soi coconut curry was sooo blahh and I could taste the refried oil in the pork belly. We couldnβt chew some of the pieces. Horrible experience. I actually felt like throwing up after the meal. And whatβs with the sticky rice?? microwaved and served in a fancy little bamboo basket with foil. Itβs dry!!! How can they not get the rice correct? Ended up going elsewhere for dessert just to cleanse our palate. Seriously it was that bad!

This place reminded me how good Thai food can be! I love how clean and attentive they are with their food, service and interior. The prices are reasonable for the quality so I'm absolutely coming back. I think a few of the reviews don't give this place enough credit. Food: the ingredients are very fresh, well prepared, and perfectly seasoned for both the green curry and khao neow moo tod. They even care to put your sticky rice in a container to prevent it from drying out - more places should do this! The roti, as others mentioned is a bit greasy, but it was still super crispy and flavorful. Someone mentioned the tap water being good, it totally is. Interior: bathrooms, tables, menus and kitchen were all sparkling clean. This is a silly personal highlight, but they separate the sinks from the toilets so you don't have to hog a whole bathroom to wash your hands. AND the toilets are their own rooms. Whoever owns this place has a mind for detail. Price: great value for the level of quality and experience. I rarely feel this way about Bay Area restaurants. Service: friendly, professional, and provided great recommendations.

As an Indian vegetarian, thai food is always our family's first choice. We have a goto Ghai place, but this time wanted to try a new one and found this. Looking at the great reviews, we were very excited to eat here. Place is very clean and gives an upscale feel. The bar area and open kitchen gives a great modern vibe. Vegetarian menu choices are standard, so we ordered a curry, noodles and Khao Soi. We ordered medium spicy. Order came pretty fast and we dug in. Loved the noodles (that were a tad spicy for medium), liked the Khao Soi but I'd say I have eaten better. Green curry was good as well. All in all average Thai Vegetarian options.
